Sultan Hachim Foundation, Inc.
The Foundation was established in Chicago on June 18, 2009 by Charif Hachim in honor of his great grand father the Sultan Hachim, who was assassinated 120 years ago in the Mbadjini region in the Comoros Islands.
Although he was only 29 years old at the time of his assassination, the Sultan Hachim had always demonstrated tenacity, perseverance, and fortitude.
In 1887 he did not hesitate to lead an opposition against the French colonizer for peace, freedom and justice for the Comorian people. In order to continue the Sultan's legacy, Charif Hachim launched a new initiative with one purpose in mind...to help the Comorian people fight against poverty and improve their quality of life.
